This guide is the primary reference for student activities and services. It also explains many University policies that affect students, including the Code of Conduct, sexual violence and harassment policies, and academic grievances. The Student Guide is available from the Office of Student Affairs, Sanford Hall, 218-755-2075.
Published each semester, this booklet includes when and where classes are offered that term, tuition and fees, complete registration policies and instructions, important dates and deadlines, and special programs and services. The Class Schedule is available from the Records and Advising Services, Deputy Hall, 218-755-2020. Comparable information for summer school is included in the Summer School Bulletin.
In addition to the categories of information found in the Class Schedule, this bulletin includes procedures for admission and descriptions of summer workshops. The bulletin is available from the Center for Extended Learning, Deputy Hall, 218-755-2068.
This is BSU's student newspaper; its office is in Hobson Memorial Union, 218-755-2987.
This report, published by the Department of Security & Safety, is distributed to all students, prospective students, faculty, staff, and prospective employees, and is available upon request. The report, which is in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, contains security policies and practices and campus crime statistics. The report may also be viewed on-line under Student Life on the BSU homepage.
Students living in the residence halls are given this handbook, which includes information on services and policies.
The annual Directory includes addresses and phone numbers for students, faculty, staff, and offices and services, as well as general phoning information.
Many departments publish their own handbooks. Inquire at department offices.
Many University offices publish information on services, policies, and procedures. These are available many places on campus, including the Hobson Memorial Union Information Desk, the Office of Student Affairs in Sanford Hall, and the Office of Admissions in Deputy Hall.
