The Department of Physics offers a flexible assortment of course work, laboratories, and guided research. Its laboratories are complemented by a variety of general and specialized apparatus; computers are employed in most aspects of experimentation and analysis, at all levels.

Recommended High School CoursesStudents are encouraged to discuss with their advisor the option of a second major or minor that might strengthen or complement their major.
Transfer Students: At least one-third of the credits to be included in the major must be successfully completed at Bemidji State University.
