HST 3258 Foundations of the Western Legal Traditions (3 credits)

Study of the two main traditions of European law, Roman Civil Law and English Common Law, as they developed from Ancient Rome to the European Middle Ages and the Early-Modern period through to the nineteenth century. Prerequisite: HST 1304 or HST 2208 or HST 2218 or consent of instructor. (Might not be offered every year)
