Office of the Chief Information Officer

This office is responsible for the following areas: Academic Technology Center; Technical Support, including the student and employee computer Help Desk and computer labs; Programming, Network Infrastructure, and Servers; and Web Services. Computer Labs


The SuperLab in 161 Deputy Hall is the primary computing facility for students. New Apple iMac systems running both OS X and Microsoft Windows are installed in the lab. More than 30 applications are available, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Adobe Creative Suite 4, and ArcGIS. Labs are also located in Decker Hall and Oak Hall. In addition to these public labs, department-specific labs are located throughout campus.

Computer Store

151 Deputy Hall

The BSU Computer Store is the place on campus for students and faculty to equip themselves with top-of-the-line computers and accessories. It is an official retailer of Macintosh™ and Dell™ equipment.

Technical Support

11 Memorial Hall

The Technical Support area includes the Computer Help Desk for BSU students and employees. Support analysts are available Monday through Friday during regular business hours to assist students with email, access to online courses, the campus network, and other computer-related questions. Helpful information is also provided on this office's website.
