Other research activity
- Developed and conducted a mentoring program that paired alumni with current Intermediate Accounting students. -2005
- Conducted research for Council on State Taxation (COST) on several topics, but primarily developed and administered a survey regarding the perceived fairness of the rules for administration and appeal of state tax statues. My analysis of the results was then used by the COST partners for a presentation at the 13th Annual Paul J. Hartman State and Local Tax Forum and a forthcoming article. Spring, 2006.
Awards, honors, and recognitions
- College of Professional Studies Student Advisory Group Honors 2004 and 2007.
- Awarded Fellowship appointment with the Washington Internship Institute, Spring Semester 2006.
- Appointed by Treasury Secretary in the fall of 2005 to serve on the Taxpayer Advocacy Panel (TAP), a Federal Advisory committee to the Internal Revenue Service.
