Scholarship Application Information

The Accounting Department at Bemidji State University announces several scholarships that have been designated for accounting majors for the 2010-2011 academic year. These scholarships are all valued at $450 or higher.

Awards for these scholarships are primarily based on: 

  • Academic achievement
  • Evidence of leadership potential
  • Financial need.

To apply for any BSU accounting major designated scholarship you must meet the minimum qualifications under either Categories 1, 2 or 3 below. 

Category 1

For those who will have completed Intermediate Accounting II before Fall Semester, 2010

Minimum Qualifications to Apply:
  • Bemidji State declared Accounting Major by Fall Semester 2010
  • Current GPA of 3.00 Overall OR 3.00 in your Accounting major
  • Enrollment full time (12 credits or more per term of enrollment)

Category 2

For those who will have completed 60 semester hours & Principles of Acct. II before Fall Semester, 2010

Minimum Qualifications to Apply:

  • Bemidji State Declared Accounting Major by Fall Semester 2010
  • Current GPA of at least 3.00 overall
  • Enrollment full time (12 credits or more per term of enrollment)

Category 3

For those who will have completed 60 semester hours & Principles of Acct. II before Fall Semester, 2010

Minimum Qualifications to Apply:

  • Declared Accounting Major by Fall Semester 2010
  • Enrolled in at least 15 credits in a twelve month period beginning in the fall
  • Demonstrated personal need by having worked during the academic year while in college

Fill out the Application Form.  Please type or print.  Some of the scholarships have certain stipulations, so it is important that you fill in all blanks.  You will be considered for all of the scholarships for which you qualify.

Attach a copy of your DARS report. It must be current through Fall Semester 2008.
