Biology facilities include a 5,600-square-foot, state-of-the-art aquatics laboratory and a 240-acre protected forest.
Located on the shore of Lake Bemidji, the H.T. Peters Aquatics Laboratory is fully equipped and features a classroom, water lab, computer room and a display aquarium. Our equipment includes two large pontoon boats, which classes use to venture out into the water.
Acquired by Bemidji State University in 1948, the Hobson Memorial Forest is a lush 240-acre tract that the university uses for outdoor recreation, education and research. The forest includes a ropes course, amphitheater, two rustic log cabins and over 7 kilometers of walking and skiing trails.
