Department of Biology Scholarships

Department of Biology Scholarships range from $400 to $1000 and many require a 3.0 or higher grade point average. Biology scholarships are awarded to students who have attended BSU for at least one year, and have sophomore status or higher when the scholarship is awarded.  You can download scholarship applications here as either an  pdf  file or a Word.doc  document, or they can be obtained from the Biology bulletin board (around the corner from the Biology offices in S218). Applications are due to the Biology Department Chair on or before 15 February each year, and announcements of scholarships awarded will be formally made about the first week of May. Biology scholarships are awarded to students who have attended BSU for at least one year, and have sophomore status or higher when the scholarship is awarded. The class years specified in the descriptions refer to the years in which a scholarship may be received. For example, a current BSU freshman may apply for the Mary Helen Tartar scholarship, which would be awarded to them for their sophomore year.
