Mr. Nicholas Ingman, a Bemidji State University senior business major, was one of only
25 students, nationally, selected to attend Sigma Beta Delta national honor society’s annual conference, in San Diego, California. Sigma Beta Delta is the honor society for students in business, management, and administration, across the nation. Nick was nominated by business management professor Dr. Dean Frost, and very impressively was selected from 265 chapters from around the entire country. Bemidji State University`s College of Business, Technology and Communication sponsored Nick`s travels.
The theme for the 2011 Sigma Beta Delta leadership academy was `Developing and Using the Sigma Beta Delta Network to Serve Humanity.` Students from across the nation came together to develop projects to conform to the ideals of Sigma Beta Delta: Wisdom, Honor, and Aspirations.
Dr. James Fowler, a guest on `The Colbert Report,` was one of many fine presenting scholars from around the world.
Nick’s take from the conference: `With technology, our networks aren’t limited to standard neighborhoods and workplaces of the past. We can be in touch and connected around the globe. Our generation has continuously improving tools to stay connected to our communities, including Bemidji State University, regardless of where we are in life.`
Well stated. Congratulations Nick!
