Do you want all business has to offer? Do you want a comprehensive
business degree with both breadth and depth? That's exactly what you'll get with the generalist program. You'll acquire a comprehensive foundation with an
integrated program which includes the study of finance, management, marketing, entrepreneurship / small
business management, computer information systems, and accounting, leaving all of your career options and graduate school program choices open.
The program is structured around a core of required courses that will expose you to all business cycle functional areas, quantitative methods, computers, and decision making techniques. You'll get an introduction to each of the primary areas of business as well as the opportunities to pursue advanced courses in all business functional and other specialization business areas. Many students enhance their education and skills by complementing their major with a minor as well.
Candidates for the bachelor of science in business administration degree are required to complete thirty-six semester credits in core course requirements, and thirty semester credits in advanced management and related disciplines, for a total of sixty-six semester credits in addition to liberal education requirements.
Classes in algebra, accounting, and computers are helpful. Keyboarding and foreign languages are also recommended. Any class work that would strengthen communication skills will be advantageous, especially speech and writing.
