Scholarship Appreciation Breakfast

[These full-time-student scholarship awards are distributed in two parts:
50% of the money will be applied to your Fall, 2014 tuition obligation;
the remaining 50% will be applied to your Spring, 2015 tuition obligation.]

Return completed applications to the Business Office Decker Hall 112 by deadlines indicated on linked the apps.


Michael and Tracy Roberge Scholarships (three) 

Students with a declared major in Business Administration with demonstrated financial need.

Three scholarships for $3,000 each

Ron Batchelder Scholarship

Business, Economics, or Nursing student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and demonstrated financial need.

Scholarship for $2,600

Federated Insurance Information Services Academic Achievement Scholarships (two)

Students with a declared major of either CS or CIS and be a Sophomore or Junior, or have at least one semester remaining as a Senior during the year the scholarship is awarded, with minimum grade point average of 3.0 overall and 3.0 within major.

Applicant must have completed at least one of the following:  CS 1309 Problem Solving and Computation; BuAd 3381 Management Information Systems; BuAd 3382 Advanced Applications Systems Development.

Must have authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis.

Evidence of Community Service is required.

Preference will be given to a student with demonstrated leadership skills and who is involved in extracurricular activities.

Two scholarships for $1,500 each

Federated Insurance Business Scholarship

Juniors and seniors attending BSU full-time next fall and spring.

Students Interested in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or Insurance.

3.00 minimum major AND overall GPAs.

Applicant must have permanent authorization to work in the U.S.

Preference to students with demonstrated leadership & extracurricular activities.

Scholarship for $1,500

Sorensen Business Scholarship

Award for undergraduate student from Minnesota accredited high school.

Full-time junior or senior majoring in Business Administration.

Preference given to student with financial need.  Minimum 2.70 GPA.

Scholarship for $1,500

Baer Family Scholarship

Open to freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior Business Administration majors.

Preference given to Finance emphasis students.

Scholarship for $1,000

Dorothy Veranth Memorial Scholarship

Full-time junior or senior majoring in Business Administration.

Minimum 3.25 GPA.

Scholarship for $1,000

Bemidji Rotary Scholarship

Exemplary BSU student.  U.S. citizen who is either active in Rotaract or is a child/grandchild of an active Rotarian).

Scholarship for $1,000

Ruth Brune Mangelsdorf Memorial Scholarships (two)

Full-time junior or senior.

Minimum 3.25 GPA.

Preference given to a member of a college national honor society.

Preference given to students demonstrating interests in Humanities or English Literature.

Two scholarships for $750 each

Donald J. Zuehlke Memorial Scholarship

Full-time junior or senior majoring in Business Administration.

Minimum 3.00 GPA.

Scholarship for $700

Lawrence "Hollie" Higgins Scholarship

Bemidji High School senior in top 15% of high school class  &  minimum GPA 3.25, planning to attend Bemidji State University to major in Business Administration.

Scholarship $700

James Grier Memorial Scholarship

Business Administration, Mass Communications or Marketing Communications major who graduated from Bemidji HS with demonstrated financial need.

Preference to a student with a GPA in the range of 2.5 to 3.0 and to a student who is individualistic, pursuing an independent course of thought or action, and has shown an interest in helping others.

Scholarship for $600

Leonard Dickinson Scholarship

Full-time junior or senior majoring in Business Administration.

Minimum 3.25 GPA.

Interested in Minnesota’s natural resources.

Preference given to northern Minnesota resident.

Scholarship $500

MDU Resources Scholarship

Full-time sophomore, junior or senior majoring in Business Administration.

Minimum 3.00 GPA.

Preference given to Finance emphasis.

Eligible student hometown Minnesota communities include: Sauk Rapids, Monticello, Albertville, Alexandria, Annandale, Avon, Baxter, Becker, Bemidji, Braham, Caledonia, Deerwood, Forest Lake, Glencoe, Hinckley, Hutchinson, Isanti, LeRoy, Litchfield, Little Falls, Longville, Mabel, Milaca, North Branch, Pierz, Pine River, Preston, Princeton, Richmond, Rushford, Spring Grove, Spring Valley, St. Cloud, St. Joseph, Staples. ND Communities include: Fargo. Iowa Communities include: Decorah, Elkader, Sioux City, Stratford, and Lansing.

Full-time junior or senior majoring in business related field.

Junior or senior majoring in Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing.
