Scholarships

We offer scholarships in the following areas: business administration, marketing, marketing communications, management, finance, generalist, entrepreneurship / small business management, international business, computer information systems, management information systems
 
These full-time-student scholarship awards are distributed in two parts:
50% of the money will be applied to your Fall, 2010 tuition obligation;
Remaining 50% will be applied to your Spring, 2011 tuition obligation.

Available Scholarships

Federated Insurance Information Services Scholarships (TWO)

Criteria: junior or senior standing in 2010 with an interest in and aptitude for an information services role, with minimum 3.0 major and overall GPA.  Applicants must have completed at least one of the following courses: CS 1309: Problem Solving, Programs and Computers; or BuAd 2381: Structured Application Development. Preference will be given to a student with demonstrated leadership skills, who is involved in extracurricular activities, has related work experience or has received relevant honors. Must have permanent authorization to work in U.S.
Two scholarships for $1,500 each


Federated Insurance Business-Student-Athlete Scholarships

Criteria: sophomore, junior or senior varsity student-athletes having an interest in and an aptitude for a career in business, finance, or insurance.
Minimum 3.0 major & overall GPA.
Must have permanent authorization to work in U.S.
One female scholarship for $750 & one male scholarship for $750


Federated Insurance Business Scholarship

Criteria: junior or senior standing in 2010 with interest or involvement in business, finance or risk management & insurance. Minimum 3.0 major and overall GPA. Preference will be given to a student with demonstrated leadership skills, who is involved in extracurricular activities, has related work experience or has received relevant honors.

Sorensen Business Scholarship

Criteria:  junior or senior standing in 2010.  Business major.  Must be a graduate of an accredited Minnesota high school.  Minimum 2.7 GPA.

Dorothy Veranth Memorial Scholarship

Criteria: junior or senior standing in 2010.  Business major.  Minimum 3.25 GPA. 
Scholarship for $1,200


Bemidji Rotary Scholarship

Criteria: junior standing in 2010.  Business major who attended Bemidji State University both freshman and sophomore years.  Current member of BSU Rotaract student organization.
Preference shall be given to student concentrating or involved in international business, study or travel.  
Scholarship for $1,000


Donald J. Zuehlke Memorial Scholarship:

Criteria: junior or senior standing in 2010.  Business major with minimum 3.0 GPA.
Scholarship for $800


James Grier Memorial Scholarship

Criteria: junior or senior standing in 2010.  Business, marketing communications or mass communications major with financial need.  Minimum 2.5 GPA. Must be Bemidji High School graduate.
Scholarship $700


Leonard Dickinson Scholarship

Criteria: junior or senior standing in 2010.  Business major with minimum 3.25 GPA. The recipient must have an interest in northern Minnesota natural resources.
Scholarship $600


Mike McKinley Business Marketing Scholarship

Criteria: junior or senior standing in 2010.  Business major with marketing emphasis.
Scholarship $500


Lawrence "Hollie" Higgins Scholarship

Criteria:  Bemidji High School graduate majoring in business administration.
