Scholarships

Scholarships are available for students in business administration, marketing, marketing communications, management, finance, generalist, entrepreneurship / small business management, international business, computer information systems, management information systems

These full-time-student scholarship awards are distributed in two parts:
50% of the money will be applied to your Fall, 2011 tuition obligation;
Remaining 50% will be applied to your Spring, 2012 tuition obligation.

Federated Insurance Information Services Scholarships (TWO)

Criteria: junior or senior standing in 2011 with an interest in and aptitude for an information services role, with minimum 3.0 major and overall GPA.  Applicants must have completed at least one of the following courses: CS 1309: Problem Solving, Programs and Computers; or BuAd 2381: Structured Application Development. Preference will be given to a student with demonstrated leadership skills, who is involved in extracurricular activities, has related work experience or has received relevant honors. Must have permanent authorization to work in U.S.
Two scholarships for $1,500 each


Federated Insurance Business Scholarship

Criteria: junior or senior standing in 2011 with interest or involvement in business, finance or risk management & insurance. Minimum 3.0 major and overall GPA. Preference will be given to a student with demonstrated leadership skills, who is involved in extracurricular activities, has related work experience or has received relevant honors.

Sorensen Business Scholarship

Criteria:  junior or senior standing in 2011.  Business major.  Must be a graduate of an accredited Minnesota high school.  Minimum 2.7 GPA.

Dorothy Veranth Memorial Scholarship

Criteria: junior or senior standing in 2011.  Business major.  Minimum 3.25 GPA.
Scholarship for $900


Bemidji Rotary Scholarship

Criteria: junior standing in 2011.  The Bemidji Rotary Club is once again offering an annual $1,000 scholarship to an exemplary BSU student.  If you are a U.S. citizen who is either active in Rotaract or is a child/grandchild of an active Rotarian, please complete and return the linked application no later than February 15, 2011, to the contact listed at the bottom of the application.  NOTE DUE-DATE for Rotary Application:  Please return postmarked no later than 4:00 P.M. on February 15, 2011 to: Joe  Czapiewski, Rotaract Advisor / jczapiewski@bemidjistate.edu / BSU David Park House #17.


Donald J. Zuehlke Memorial Scholarship

Criteria: junior or senior standing in 2011.  Business major with minimum 3.0 GPA.
Scholarship for $700


Leonard Dickinson Scholarship

Criteria: junior or senior standing in 2011.  Business major with minimum 3.25 GPA. The recipient must have an interest in northern Minnesota natural resources.
Scholarship $400


Mike McKinley Business Marketing Scholarship

Criteria: junior or senior standing in 2011.  Business major with marketing emphasis.
Scholarship $300


Lawrence "Hollie" Higgins Scholarship

Criteria:  Bemidji High School graduate majoring in business administration. Scholarship $700
