 The assets of the Chemistry Department are located on the third floor of Sattgast Hall. Sattgast is also home to the  Physics, Biology, Earth and Space Science and Environmental Studies Departments.

 Sattgast Hall is named for Dr. Charles R. Sattgast, who as the President of Bemidji State College from 1938 to 1964.

Originally built in 1962,Sattgast Hall was renovated in 1989 into the facility that we have today.
