The following scholarships are awarded by the Department of Chemistry through the BSU Foundation. These scholarships are funded through donation, endowment funds, and memorials. There may be specific criteria which determines who is eligible to receive these awards. Contact the department chair for additional information.
Criteria: Outstanding Organic Chemistry student selected each spring.
Criteria: Outstanding:analytical chemistry students elected each spring.
Criteria: Senior majoring in chemistry. A student should have a minimum GPA of 3.25 and plan to pursue graduate studies in the sciences and to conduct a research project during their senior year.
Criteria: Awarded each year to a BSU student who has completed the biochemistry sequence, or a BSU student who is engaged in biochemical research. The student should have a minimum GPA of 3.00 and have plans to pursue a career in a biochemical or a medical related field.
Criteria: Minimum GPA of 3.5, evidence of community service, completion of Principles of Chemistry II or General Chemistry and completion or enrollment in Organic Chemistry. Prefrance to graduates of Bemidji High School, Bagley High School or an employee of Iverson Corner Drug.
Criteria: Minimum GPA of 3.7, evidence of community service, completion of Principles of Chemistry II and completion or enrollment in Organic Chemistry.
Criteria: Sophmore, junior or senior majoring in Chemistry with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Criteria: Junior or senior majoring in Biology, Geology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Studies or a pre-professional program.
Criteria: Junior or senior majoring in Biology, Geology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Studies or a pre-professional program.
Criteria: Current BSU student with a declared Chemistry major. Faculty liaison will identify a research project for the student that is useful, substantial and that is performed by the student.
Criteria: Major in Biology or Chemistry, participating in a short-term academic program outside of the United States.
