Weblogs and Wikis

Electronic Publishing in Web 2.0

Web pages, web sites, weblogs, wikis, and consumer created content. The web provides new opportunities for professional and creative writers as editors, writers, and freelancers. But it also makes new demands. Writers now need practice in information architecture, page and web design, linking, and tailoring writing for the fly-by reader.

Students at BSU are among the first to make the leap to digital writing and electronic publishing in classes such as Weblogs and Wikis, Web Content Writing, and Elements of E-Rhetoric, and are now working as freelancers, editors, and contributers in the digital realm.
