Minor or Certificate in Electronic Writing

In these programs, you will undertake in-depth study in Internet writing and will gain expertise that is valued in many careers today. If you are an undergraduate at Bemidji State, you will take the minor. If you are not studying for a degree, you can study for the undergraduate certificate.

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics projects increased needs in electronic writing: "Online publications and services are growing in number and sophistication, spurring the demand for writers and editors, especially those with Web experience." 

Minors and certificates appear on your academic transcript. They are excellent ways to enhance your studies because they provide a concentration of courses that can complement your major or give you knowledge and expertise in a second field for which you have a passion. Graduate schools and employers are always happy to see a candidate who has proven skills in electronic writing.
