HAZWOPER CLASS - JUNE 1998
BSU students are provided an opportunity to become OSHA
certified for working in hazardous conditions. Here students don
SCBA as part of their certification.

IRI - AKELEY FIELD TRIP - April 2000

BSU students in Hydrogeology II and Environmental Sampling participate
in logging an augered hole at the USGS IRI site, which allows the students
to practice soil logging, classification, and environmental changes with depth.


Students investigation automated water level monitoring
equiment.

Students use a culvert to estimate flow from a stream
to a local receiving lake to the right, as a way to verify
an upstream flume measurement.

BSU students in Hydrogeology II and Environmental
Sampling participate in a joing field trip to the USGS IRI
research station and the nearby wastewater spray
irrigation facility of Akeley, Minnesota.

Students were examine soil samples from an augerhole
that became a piezometer for the USGS IRI monitoring
well network just west of Williams Lake.
