    ·         International Comparisons: A Discussion  by Nels Anderson & Mike Boucher

    ·         Learn Japanese & Korean with Wendy Bishop; try some Japanese food

  • Wednesday - Nov. 15, 2006
     

                    National GIS Day

    ·         Geo Center (HS 246) will be open all day for presentations and displays by students

    ·         Interactive Lab: Learn how to use ArcView

    o        Beginning at 12:00 pm

    ·         Anyone is welcome to explore GIS and talk with students/faculty about it’s significance in the global society

    ·         Showing of the Bollywood film Veer-Zaara (by Dr. Satish Davgun)

    o        5:00-8:00pm

    Some traditional Indian Food will be provided.

  • Thursday - Nov. 16, 2006
     

    Focus on Europe

    ·         Geography Bowl

    o        An event open to everyone

    o        Lots of prizes (including gift certificates to local businesses, outdoor recreation equipment, and MP3 player)
