The Honors Program and the Office of Residential Life are partners in an Honors scholars’ residence (which we call Laurel House) at 1521 Birchmont Drive, across from the A.C. Clark Library. This exciting opportunity was established in fall semester of 2002 and is available through an application process to five Honors scholars at the sophomore, junior or senior level. Applications are available at the Honors Office in Hagg-Sauer 357. Laurel House provides a home environment and a programmatic connection. The public living spaces (kitchen, dining room, living room and study room) may be used by the Honors Council, faculty and students to hold receptions, discussions and food and conversation sessions in an informal setting. Activities are coordinated between Laurel residents and the Honors Council. Talk to a Laurel House resident or stop by the Honors Office to learn about Laurel House.
