The Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication is an international association of more than 3,300 journalism/mass communication faculty, students, administrators, and professionals. AEJMC's members come from more than 28 countries, with the majority working in the United States and Canada. Founded in 1912, AEJMC is the oldest and largest association of journalism and mass communication educators and administrators at the college level.


The Minnesota Newspaper Association is a voluntary association of all general-interest newspapers in the state of Minnesota and acts on behalf of the newspaper press of the state. It represents its newspapers in the legislature and in court, sells advertising for newspapers, maintains a legal and advertising research library, operates a mailing service (press releases), sponsors a large annual convention in the Twin Cities and engages in a vigorous program of training persons for newspaper work.


The Radio-Television News Directors Association is the world's largest professional organization devoted exclusively to electronic journalism. RTNDA represents local and network news executives in broadcasting, cable and other electronic media in more than 30 countries.


The Society of Professional Journalists is the nation’s largest and most broad-based journalism organization. SPJ is a not-for-profit organization of 13,500 journalists dedicated to encouraging the free practice of journalism; stimulating high standards of ethical behavior; and perpetuating a free press.


The National Press Photographers Association is an organization dedicated to the advancement of photographic journalism. Our members include still and television photographers, editors, students and representatives of businesses that serve the photojournalism industry.

 

Poynter Institute is a school dedicated to teaching and inspiring journalists and media leaders. It promotes excellence and integrity in the practice of craft and in the practical leadership of successful businesses. It stands for a journalism that informs citizens and enlightens public discourse. It carries forward Nelson Poynter's belief in the value of independent journalism.
