Kenneth R. Masse Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was created in 1991 in memory of Mr. Masse who was a member of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science for 21 years. Mr. Masse was one of the pioneers in the Computer Science program at BSU, teaching computing courses before the Computer Science major existed on campus. With his background in electrical engineering, he brought a hardware dimension to the program. Mr. Masse was a licensed pilot and taught ground school for many years. His float plane could often be found tied to the dock outside Hagg-Sauer Hall when Mr. Masse was teaching summer classes and workshops.

The scholarship is awarded each spring to an outstanding Computer Science student, selected by department faculty. All Computer Science majors are automatically given consideration for this scholarship.
