Mathematics in Action:
The Interplay of Mathematics,
Science and Technology Camp
at Bemidji State University
July 8-13, 2007

Application Information

A downloadable application is included here. We are accepting applications until June 8, 2007 or until the camp fills.

Preference will be given to students from rural northern Minnesota who meet the following qualifications:

1. The student is entering the senior year of high school. Students entering their junior year of high school may apply, but preference will be given to seniors.
2. Students should have some interest in pursuing a career in science or technology.
3. The student has taken at least two of the courses: algebra I, geometry, algebra II or the equivalent. Students who will take AP calculus in high school should not apply.
4. Students from groups that are underrepresented in the mathematical sciences are strongly encouraged to apply. This includes racial minorities, females and students from rural or economically disadvantaged situations, and students who will be the first in their families to attend college.
