Dr. Haworth joined the Bemidji State University music faculty in 2000 as an Assistant Professor. Her focus is Music Education with an emphasis in Elementary Music. Dr. Haworth has degrees from Carson-Newman College (Music Education and Church Music), the University of Tennessee (Choral Conducting) and the University of Florida (Music Education).

At Bemidji State University she teaches the general music methods courses for both music and elementary education majors as well as being the conductor of the Varsity Singers.

Her interests include year-round education, shaped-note singing, songs from the Tin Pan Alley era, and all forms of recorders and ocarinas.
