One of the most satisfying experiences in my nursing education career was to have one of my former students orient me to a new clinical setting.  The symbolism of passing the baton to the future generation was extremely moving.  It is my desire to make a difference in the students I teach, the profession I have chosen and to the society in which I live. I am passionate about the career I have chosen and enjoy introducing students to the nursing profession.

I am a poster child for nurses using educational laddering. I graduated from an Associate Degree program at North Dakota State University followed by a completion program at Moorhead State University for RN to BSN. I worked in a variety of settings, primarily medical surgical and geriatric positions before teaching at Minnesota State Community and Technical College in the LPN program. While there I returned to school obtaining a Masters Degree in Nursing Education.  I am currently enrolled in a Doctor of Nursing Practice program with anticipated graduation 2011.
