Bemidji State University welcomes applications for admissions to all undergraduate and graduate programs in education. Detailed procedures and guidelines appear in the undergraduate and graduate catalogs. The following requirements must be met in order to gain admission to all undergraduate programs in the Department of Professional Education.

  • Basic Skills Test:  Effective Spring semester 2010, students entering the Professional Education program will be required to take all parts of the PPST basic skills test (Pre-Professional Skills Test or Praxis I) by December 1, 2009 in order to register for any Education course.  Students should select BSU to be a score recipient.  Beginning Fall semester 2010, students entering the Professional Education program will be required to successfully complete all parts of the PPST basic skills test (Pre-Professional Skills Test or Praxis I) in order to register for any Education course.  Click for more information about the PPST.

  • Complete 30 semester credits of liberal education/elective courses.

  • Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher.
