The 37 credit hours in the Masters of Special Education degree are adapted from the Council for Exceptional Children Professional Standards for special educators and a research-based professional application standard. The 10 standards containing 28 of the 37 credit hours required for the Masters of Special Education include classes developed for the special education license programs. The remaining 9 credit hours are research-based professional application classes.
