Procedure for Obtaining the Internship

1. Orientation and Application


1. Pre-Internship Seminar

During the semester before the Internship, students will enroll in the Seminar and show evidence of liability insurance.


1. Forms will be completed and/or explained during the Seminar. These forms are in Appendix D.


2. Resume: A comprehensive Resume is developed along with a formal cover letter and list of relevant courses describing the particular student?s curricular emphasis.


3. Agency Selection
The Internship Coordinator determines acceptability of an internship using the following criteria:


1. Level of training of supervisor
   (degree, and job title or experience)


2. Quality of supervision


3. Quantity of supervision


4. Nature of activities


5. Client population served
