Curriculum Content Area Objectives

The curriculum for the Social Work major is guided by ten foundation or content areas, that reflect the program’s mission statement, goals and objectives. The curriculum content areas are: Social Work Values and Ethics, Diversity, Promotion of Social and Economic Justice, Populations-at-Risk, Human Behavior in the Social Environment, Social Welfare Policy and Services, Social Work Practice, Research, Field Practicum, and International Perspective. Each of the specific courses required in the Social Work program are designed with objectives which, when implemented, lead to the achievement of the ten curriculum content areas.
