Two tracks: On-campus and Blended (on-campus/online)
Students who wish to major in Social Work must satisfy specific standards and complete a formal admission process. The process includes the completion of certain introductory courses with a 2.50 GPA, submission of admission materials, and an interview with a review committee. For an explanation of the standards and details of the admission process, see the Social Work Student Guide (available in the University Bookstore) or contact the Social Work Program Director.
The Social Work curriculum prepares students for professional social work practice and for graduate study. Course work in sociology, psychology, political science, and biology is included in the Social Work major. Social Work course syllabi are available to students in the Family Child Welfare Resource Center, HS 380.
You can take our BS in Social Work on-campus at Bemidji State University and take advantage of the great opportunities and experience we have.
Coming Fall 2013
You can also take our BS in Social in a blended largely online format, with once a month on-campus class.
