Industrial Technology Construction Management
Construction Management is an emphasis under the industrial Technology Major, B.S. degree. This emphasis reflects the diverse nature of the contemporary construction industry. It consists of a broad based industrial, technical and professional core of Industrial Technology courses supplemented with construction management applications of building theories and practices. Students are exposed to other influences such as professional business courses, technical education, manufacturing and design technologies, which help broaden their scope of the modem construction industry. Our students can be found in management positions in The Rottlund Co. Inc. (residential home construction), Kaus/Anderson Construction Co. Inc. (commercial construction), Fagen Inc. (heavy, industrial construction) and interning at The Institute of Environmental Assessment.
With the collaborative expansion of Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College, the Construction Management emphasis has moved into the newly remodeled Bridgeman Hall.
Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College have combined resources to offer the Construction Site Management B.A.S. This major is for student who desire employment in the technical fields of the construction industry. It is not applicable to a licensure program. The program is ideal for students who wish to transfer from Northwest Technical College (NTC) and obtain a baccalaureate degree in Construction Site Management at Bemidji State University.
