Gerald Nestel

Dr. Gerald Nestel (Bud) is Associate Professor in the Department of Technological Studies. He is a graduate of the University of Arkansas, where he earned an EdD in 1969. He also graduated from Southern Illinois University, earning a MS in Ed. in 1963, and a BS from University of Wisconsin at Stout 1962. He has taught in higher education at Southern Illinois University, Eastern Illinois University, Northern State College in Aberdeen, SD, thirty-one years at St. Cloud State University, one year at Black Hills State University, SD, and since 2005 at Bemidji State University. Dr. Nestel has responsibilities related to the Prototype Engineering program and model making. In addition, he teaches courses in CADD, CNC, PLTW and design. He is currently an active member of the Association of Professional Model Makers (APMM) and the International Technology Education Association (ITEA.)
