Randy Wentzel is currently an Assistant Professor in the Technological Studies Department. He teaches Materials and Processes/Separating, Fluid Power, Mechanical Power, Performance Measurement, Industrial Maintenance and Safety, Engineering Problem Solving and Advanced Machining.

Randy also contributes to the department and to the students by being the advisor to the SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers) Club. The club helps students explore the world of manufacturing and related career opportunities.

Randy has earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees at Bemidji State University in the field of Industrial Education. He has spent the past 25 years working in industry for several companies and has held various engineering and management positions. He had taught as an adjunct faculty member in the department for 10 years prior to accepting a full time position in 2005.
