Dr. Vohnout joined the faculty of Department of Technological Studies as an Associate Professor in 2006. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University. His undergraduate studies were also in Mechanical Engineering at Cleveland State University?s Fenn College of Engineering. Before entering academia as a Professor, Dr. Vohnout co-founded Adaptive Machine Technologies (AMT), an engineering research and development company in Columbus Ohio. He served as the president of AMT for the first nine years of its existence before returning to his studies at OSU. Dr. Vohnout is also a licensed Professional engineer in Ohio and continues in his private consulting and research practice when not busy with his academic responsibilities at BSU. Dr. Vohnout?s research interests are currently centered in high-energy rate, high velocity forming of sheet metal components.
