Center for Career & Technical Education Closing June of 2012
It is with deep regret that after over 35 years of service to secondary and post-secondary teachers in Minnesota, the Center for Career & Technical Education will be closing its doors in June of 2012. This is a result of state budget cuts at both MnSCU and Bemidji State University.
The Center will remain open until May of 2012, and is committed to make sure that everyone has an opportunity to complete their CTE degree, licensing requirements for CTE and WBL, completing CTE portfolios, and completing licensing requirements for MnSCU technical and community college faculty.
Individuals will need to work closely with the staff at the Center to plan their schedules carefully to insure that they complete the courses to meet their individual needs. Most courses will only be offered one more time, so you should make it a priority to take a course when it is offered. There will also be the possibility of courses equivalencies or substitutions in some situations. Please monitor this page for additional information as it becomes available. There is now a final master year course schedule for both CTE Licensing and WBL Licensing courses posted under the Class Schedule for each respective area. Click on the Class Schedule link in the light blue box toward the upper right hand corner of this window. Please monitor the respective pages connected with the degree or license you are working on. Please also share this information with any of your colleagues. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Dr. Jim McCracken at jmccracken@bemidjistate.edu.
