Barb Hanus

On sabbatical academic year 2009-2010.

Barbara Hanus is the Coordinator of the Design Technology Program and has been teaching in the Design Tech program at Bemidji State University for over 20 years. Her teaching responsibilities currently involve 3-D computer modeling and animation, multimedia production for CD/DVD/web delivery and the professional culmination courses. She is also responsible for the articulation relationships with the MnSCU 2-year Design related programs.

Ms. Hanus has an A.A.S from Moorhead Technical College in Commercial Art along with a B.S. in Technological Studies Education and a B.S. in Vocational Education from Minnesota State University-Moorhead. Barbara was the first female IT Education graduate from MSU-Moorhead. She was the second female IT Education graduate in Minnesota. She also has the unique title as the first female president of the professional fraternity in the United States. Barbara also has over 10 years of industrial experience as an Art Director of an advertising agency, an Art Director of the television station, sign painting, screen print artist and print production and sales.
