Gallery X
Gallery X: Mission Statement
The mission of Gallery X is to serve Bemidji State University’s current and emerging students. The small, intimate setting of Gallery X allows the exhibitor to gain the necessary tools needed to eventually use in the future of their artistic career. All media is welcome for display in the gallery on the condition that the student(s) exhibiting are involved in the Visual Art’s department. If a student is not involved with the department a small artist package will be needed for the gallery director for consideration. Prior working knowledge of a gallery is not necessary in order to take part in exhibiting in this space. Weekly exhibits will partake throughout each semester allowing for a diversified atmosphere of styles and media. Bemidji State University can not be held liable for any lost, stolen, or broken pieces of art shown in the gallery. Take part in this unique learning opportunity by expressing your artistic vision to the community.
If you would like to have a show put in the gallery, contact the gallery director as soon as possible to schedule a week. Exhibits in Gallery X must be put up beginning Monday morning of each week and taken down by Saturday in order for the next exhibitor to show (unless the schedule allows you to have more time). Acceptable shows for the gallery is wide open, however, if there are any questions pertaining to your work, ask the gallery director. Show openings and publicity is entirely in the hands of the exhibitor as is the installation/removal of the pieces. Any special needs or other questions can be answered by the gallery director via the contact information below:
