Admissions

Admission to Bemidji State University can be accomplished through the Center for Extended Learning. Once admitted, students may register for both on-campus and distance education courses (see Registration).

Undergraduate Application

How to apply:

Special Student Application

If you do not plan to complete a degree or apply for financial aid, and just plan to take a few courses, you can apply for admission as an Undergraduate Special Student through the online admission process. Go to the Online Application to read the instructions. Click on link at the bottom of the page to proceed to the on-line application. After you have logged in and selected Bemidji State University as your location, select "online" as the delivery method, "undecided" as your area of study and "not seeking degree" as your intended degree. You will be admitted within a few days and able to register for courses soon after you are admitted. This Special Student status also lets you register for undergraduate courses until your regular admission process is completed if you are short of time. Keep in mind that students admitted under special student status are not eligible for financial aid.

To apply as a Graduate Special Student, please review the information and complete appropriate forms found online at the School of Graduate Studies.
