The Cognate in Reading is a program designed to provide in-service teachers broad content graduate courses in reading with concurrent pedagogy that addresses the No Child Left Behind requirements.
This cognate area is offered by the Bemidji State University Department of Professional Education and, when paired with the graduate core courses, completes the Master of Science in Education or the Master of Education degree.
