Bemidji State University and Alexandria Technical College are collaborating to offer courses required for students to earn an associate in arts (AA) degree from BSU in Alexandria. The AA degree is a generalist degree designed to satisfy liberal education requirements and prepare students for work on a bachelor's degree in any field at Bemidji State University or another 4 year university virtually anywhere.

What are the benefits of this collaborative degree?
This partnership allows individuals in the workplace, or students who choose to stay in the Alexandria area, access to the most widely recognized undergraduate transfer degree available, the AA degree. Other benefits include:

• Individualized advising by both an ATC and a BSU AA degree program advisor
• Coursework offered by both institutions to provide flexibility in course scheduling.
