Qualifying for Financial Aid Students do not qualify for financial aid unless they are enrolled in a minimum of six credits of course work in a classroom setting (non Guided/Self-Directed courses). Also, students admitted under Special Student status are not formally admitted to the University, and are not eligible for financial aid. Pre-registration each semester is essential to avoid delays in receiving financial aid in a timely manner. The number of registered credits should coincide with your financial aid status. Students enrolled in Guided/Self-Directed Study courses must also be enrolled at least half-time in Bemidji State University classroom-based courses each semester for financial aid consideration. Classroom courses may be on-campus or at off-campus sites or online courses utlilizing D2L. Classroom courses may be on-campus or at off-campus sites. Students who are taking courses through the Center for Extended Learning and receiving aid will need to follow the same beginning and ending dates each semester as on-campus students.
