Scholarships

Academic, talent, and leadership awards at Bemidji State University provide over $600,000 to approximately 500 new and returning students annually. Approximately 25 percent of new entering freshman receive scholarships.

Bridges to Learning Scholarship

We are proud to announce that we have created an account at the Bemidji Foundation to provide scholarships specifically to DLiTE and FasTrack students! The name of the account is Bridges to Learning and is a need-based scholarship.  Students who are entering their first semester of the DLiTE or FasTrack program are encouraged to apply. We hope to create many $500 and $1000 tuition awards.

The Gladys McKinley Distance Learning Scholarship

 This scholarship is worth $1000, to be applied to tuition charges for the 2008-2009 academic year.

Criteria:

Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in teacher education through the Center for Extended Learning at Bemidji State University from, or having ties to, the northern region of Minnesota.

Application Procedures

Send a two-page letter describing who you are and who you aspire to be (including some life history) and a letter of recommendation from a current or previous teacher who knows you. Please include your name, mailing address, phone number and email address.

Letters must be received by March 17, 2009.
