Admissions

To gain admissions to the FasTrack Secondary Initiative, you must:
  • Hold an earned BA, BS, MA, MS, MBA, MFA, PhD or other Degree in a Minnesota Department of Education content licensure area.
  • Complete the required applications:
    • Bemdji State University CEL application online.  Click here and complete the Application for Special Student Admission.
      • You will choose 'grad student' status and fill in "FasTrack".
      • In the "Course/Program you intend to enroll in" leave that section blank.
    • FasTrack Initiative Student application (print below, complete, and mail)
    • Teacher Mentor application (print below, complete with signatures and mail)
    • Teacher Mentor Responsibility

Prior to enrolling in the first course for the FasTrack Initiative, you must:

Students may start the FasTrack Initiative while their major coursework is being reviewed by the Minnesota Department of Education. It is possible that the Minnesota Department of Education may request additional coursework in a student's licensure field, including a teaching methods course in his or her content area.

The license application procedure is to be handled directly by the Minnesota Department of Education.
 

  • Meet computer requirements have access to a video cassette recorder. 

  • Complete an "Orientation and Training" session for online learning which takes place the first weekend at Start-up.  This session is mandatory for students and Mentors.
