Student Support Services

Bemidji State University desires to promote academic excellence in its students and therefore provides a variety of services to create the best learning environment possible.  Students may receive assistance through the following venues:

American Indian Resource Center (AIRC)

Enter the American Indian Resource Center (AIRC) and surround yourself with an environment steeped in cultural heritage and tradition – a gathering place that honors the past and helps shape the future. Centrally located between three of Minnesota’s largest reservations, the AIRC is a place to come together and learn. Visit the American Indian Resource Center's website for more details.

As a BSU student, you are granted admission to most athletic events free of charge with a valid student ID (BSU Hockey is excluded).  For complete schedules of sports and ticket information, see the BSU Athletics website.

BSU Extended Learning

BSU Extended Learning was designed as a way for people to have access to courses and degree programs, whether they are unable to complete traditional courses due to a full personal and professional schedule or they simply live too far from a university to be able to attend traditional classroom sessions. Students can take the individual courses they need, or even complete an entire degree - right from the comfort and convenience of their own home or office. BSU Extended Learning is here to help all students make the most of their education.  For more information visit the Extended Learning website.

Career Services

The primary purpose of Career Services is to aid students and alumni in assessing, exploring, focusing and implementing their career goals. Upon completion of a degree, graduates should be prepared to function responsibly as members of an interdependent international community. Career planning does not end at graduation but will continue throughout one's lifetime.  For more information, contact Career Services (218-755-2038, or visit the Career Services website.
