Competency Requirement

A student is required to demonstrate competency in one of the following options: an approved foreign language, computer application of statistics, or application of instructional technologies. The department/program determines the appropriate competency options and requirements. Students are encouraged to contact their advisors regarding this requirement upon admission into candidacy. This requirement must be satisfied prior to scheduling the oral examination/presentation. See the Graduate Catalog for more information.
