Dean, School of Graduate Studies

• Meets with students who are struggling with their academics
• Acts as liaison between the students and staff, both faculty and supervisors of Graduate Assistants
• Works with student complaints (Students should meet with the Chair of the department before approaching the Dean with complaints against staff or the department itself)
• Promotes graduate education on campus
• Works to provide new services and opportunities for Graduate students
• Works to develop new Graduate programs
• Review research projects that contain human subjects
• Acts as a member of certain oral defense committees as needed
• Approves all theses and program changes
• Helps develop new policies for Graduate students through the BSU Graduate Committee
• Approves all new Graduate faculty
