From Dust & Fire 2004

Louise Bottrell enjoys using thought and imagination to create stories, poems and plays.  She has also enjoyed the enthusiastic support, encouragement and camaraderie from her writing friends, including the poets in Bards of a Feather and a group of novelists with whom she meets with six times a year. She is currently working on a fiction short story that keeps growing longer.

Sharon Chmielarz’s The Other Mozart, Ontario Review Press, came out in 2001.

Jan Chronister  is a writer, gardener, costume designer, and composition teacher living in the
woods near Maple, Wisconsin.

Mary E. T. Clemenson is a professional composer, musician and teacher as well as Occupational Therapist. She also dabbles in writing, photography, theology and philosophy, gathering her materials from the natural world and her personal journey through life.

Deborah Davis-Stelman is an artist and writer. Her works have been published in numerous publications including several editions of Dust & Fire. Her artwork has been shown in a wide range of galleries in her 46 years and has been used for publications both in print and on-line. She spends her free time walking in the North woods, camping, dancing, building and enjoying the company of her daughter and friends.

Tammi Hartung is a full-time resident of Bemidji, MN. She is the mother of a ten year old daughter and a seven year old son. She is currently pursuing a BA in English and a BFA in Creative and Professional Writing at Bemidji State University.

Shannon Murray is an artist from Bemidji, MN. Already an accomplished singer-songwriter, she has two independently released CDs. A love of songwriting and performance inspired her to delve into the craft of poetry. This is one of her first poems. She will graduate this spring with a B.A. in Music and Humanities, and a minor in Ojibwe.

Laura Whitmore is a graduate student at Bemidji State University in Bemidji, MN teaching a freshman composition course and taking classes of her own. She is focusing on poetry, her passion, but she enjoys writing of all kinds.

Marianne Zarzana is currently pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing degree at Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she teaches courses in composition and creative writing. Her poetry has appeared in Dust & Fire, Lotus Blooms Journal, Mankato Poetry Review, and Minnesota River Review. She lives in Marshall, Minnesota with her husband and daughter.
