Colaberation Through Distance Education

As of 1998, Bemidji State University has been a member of the IUC and is the coordinator of the social work international distance delivery project. Bemidji State University is providing demonstration curriculum development, international faculty recruitment and international course(s) delivery. These programs are at graduate and undergraduate level with transferable credits.

Our goal is to offer long distance social work education which reflects specific needs and traditions of different countries and regions all over the world. Nothing can replace direct participation, but electronics offer a viable alternative. Technology enables us to deliver the annual program using interactive communication and other options. In the future new programs may be added and customized to meet the needs of a particular region of the world or particular categories of individuals.
