Introduction to the elemenets of designing effective instruction: learners, goals and objectives, teaching strategies, instructional technologies, and assessment, with special attention to the learners.  Concepts from educational psychology and human relations are applied to the development of appropriate educational materials for diverse learners.  Also focuses on assisting learners in making the transition from learning to read to reading to learn in the content areas.  Prerequisites: ED 3100 and ED 3110.
