Continuation of study on harmony and part-writing. Emphasis on counterpoint and large musical forms. Continuation of visual and aural recognition of the elements of music through music performance, diction, and improvisation using a variety of musical styles from Western and non-Western traditions. Third semester of the two-year music theory sequence. Completion of this course with a grade of "C" or better is required for all music degrees. Prerequisites: MUS 2201 and MUS 2202.
