Bemidji State University is an accredited university located in north central Minnesota, USA. Part of the Minnesota State College and Universities system, Bemidji State is large enough to offer more than 50 majors and 16 pre-professional programs for undergraduates.

Applications from international students are accepted for initial enrollment fall semester, beginning in September, or for spring semester,beginning in January. Bemidji State University provides a welcoming environment for students. Community members serve as 'family friends' to international students to help in their transition to the Bemidji Community and to Bemidji State University and to make them feel welcome. The International Student Organization is a student club that meets to schedule social and cultural activities. The International Program Center offers international students a comprehensive orientation program and serves as a resource for items related to enrollment and immigration.
