High School (PSEO) Admissions

Get a head start on college with Bemidji State’s PSEO program.

The Post Secondary Education Opportunities (PSEO) program was implemented by the Minnesota Legislature to give students an opportunity to enhance or enrich the education that they are receiving at their local high school, alternative area learning center, charter school or home school.

The PSEO Advantage

Why enroll in PSEO? Talented and motivated high school students who are capable of handling college-level work have the opportunity to challenge themselves with 1000 and 2000 level courses at BSU while completing their high school graduation requirements. Not only will you grow intellectually, you will signal to future schools and employers that you are smart, hard-working and ambitious.

Who Can Apply

PSEO accepts applications from qualified high school seniors, juniors and sophomores. Generally, students who rank in the top 25% of their graduating class are eligible to enroll. View Eligibility for a detailed look at PSEO admissions criteria.

The PSEO program will cover the cost of tuition, fees and books whether you are part-time or full-time. Students enrolled in the PSEO program are only allowed to take on-campus courses (no online courses or courses with additional fees that exceed a total of $100).
